Pupil Ambassador Award

This year, your child will have the opportunity to start working towards the ‘Millbridge Pupil Ambassador’ award. If they become a Millbridge Ambassador, they will be given opportunities to represent school, e.g. at outside events and hosting visitors.

Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to apply for positions of responsibility in school such as: House Captains, Play Leaders or the School Council.

Pupil Ambassadors will be the children who show us qualities in areas such as not giving up, trying new things, understanding others and making the effort to improve. These are all skills, which I’m sure you will agree, are very important in life.

The award is split into three parts –

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold

As we are starting the award this year, we have decided that all children in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 will start on their path towards the Bronze Award. Years 3 and 4 will start with the Silver Award and Years 5 and 6 will start with the Gold Award.

When each award is complete, your child will get a certificate and an iron on ‘star’ badge to put on their school jumper (please note one badge will be given, additional badges can be bought at the office for 50p each to put on other jumpers if required).

YOUR CHILDREN NEED YOUR HELP!

Each child will be given a booklet in school. A copy of this is also on the school website so you can see the simple steps that need to be achieved for each part of the award. These skills might be shown at home as well as in school. If you feel your child has achieved one of these at home, please get in touch with your class teacher via Class Dojo with evidence (maybe a photo or quick voice note) of what they have done so we can tick it off in school.

We are really excited about this opportunity and it will be great to get the children enthused about becoming ambassadors for the school. We appreciate your support with this new award.
